L. A. Toe Hold Club

Pacific Coast Savate is the only sanctioned club of Danse de Rue Savate(sm) in California. The system has its origins in French pugilism with a lineage dating back to the first school of savate in 1803. This pugilistic style specializes in teaching both unarmed and armed combat. The class teaches boxing skills, inside fighting and weapons training. Danse de Rue Savate(sm) is a real-world combat system which is “On point all the time.”

The L.A. Toe Hold Club practices Catch-as-Catch-Can Wrestling the origin of “no holds barred” submission grappling. It has a long, but almost forgotten, history in the U.S. In fact, it was an AAU-sanctioned sport at the beginning of the last century. It was only rivaled by Bare Knuckle Boxing in popularity at that time. Learn takedowns, ground control, submissions, defenses and legal pain.
